Cheer up emo kid! We got layouts for you!
I need a new life. Sometimes I just want to complain... This is one of those times. Since I started my journey into the wonderful world of employment I have sadly always been a part of the retail spectrum... Here are a few short lists I have compiled over the years.. List #1 Top 5 Things to Never say to a Cashier: 5. "Are you open?" You see that light on above my head? Yeah that doesn't mean I have a fucking idea. If I wasn't open do you think I would be standing here like an idiot waiting to help your stupid ass? The answer is not no. Its fuck no. 4. "You look like you could use something to do." Har Har. I would rather sit here and do nothing than wait on you any day. Trust me. But really your wit astounds me... Put your shit on the counter so you can leave already. 3. (Separating items on the counter) "These items are $__, these are on sale for $__." Well thank you, thats what the god damned cash register is for. Well golly gee you told me the price, I think I'll take your word for it. Go play in traffic. 2. "Why is this so expensive?" How the fuck should I know?! I don't set the prices, I just work here. If you think its too expensive then don't buy it. I could give a shit less, its not like you need it anyway! Get out of my face. And last but not least... 1. (Item isn't scanning) "Oh gee it must be free!" *Death stare* Really? You think you are the first person to come up with that zinger? Fuck you. Thats all I have to say. I used to be able to muster up a weak smile. I can't even manage that anymore... Shoot me. List #2 Top 5 Reasons Customers are Idiots... Now this one needs an explaination, I realize not all customers are stupid. There are a few life savers out there who keep me from strangling myself. But then again there are a few who cause you to wonder how they even managed to dress themselves... 5. Just because it was on the shelf that says $5.95 does not mean its $5.95. Was there any more items like that one there? No. Really, do you think you can get a fucking MP3 player for $5? I don't think so. Incase you didn't notice there are 50 more morons in this place like you and they like to put shit in the wrong spot. Deal with it. 4. Working in a video store I meet so truly stupid people. Don't want to pay a late fee? Well then perhaps you should have returned your movies on time. Concept? I think so. No, you did not return them the correct day. The computer clearly states that they were a day late. Trust me, us evil employees are not out to get you and run a massive fee on your account. I could care less if you come back. Good, now go eat some arsenic. 3. When you walk into a shop at mid day through an unlocked door and there is roughly 10 people in there, what would possess you to ask "Are you open?" No, I am not. Now leave before I call the police, you are breaking and entering. 2. Okay people, say it with me: SALES TAX! That would be why the total doesn't seem right. Because you are an idot. 7%, yeah add 7%... Its not that hard. Oh? Lightbulb.. There you go. 1. This is by far my biggest problem... I give them two options, for example: "Would you like this movie for one night, or for 5 nights?" Their response "No." NO WHAT?! Its not a yes or no question you dumb fuck. I get paid by the hour so I have no problem standing here all night staring at you, completely appaled by your stupidity, waiting for a real response. Usually they are on the phone too... GRrr Next week lists 3 and 4 Chapter One Aiden. The summer air was thick like blood and filled with electricity that excited his every nerve. It was late afternoon on a hot mid august day when Aiden Shepard stepped out of his back door, the colors of the sunset painted his pale body as he swept across the grass toward the edge of the woods that lined his backyard. His movements were smooth and precise, like a bird of prey with a hunger that could not be satiated. When he reached the trees he paused and sniffed the air gently, a small rustle caught his ear; he pulled back his lips into a sharp smile and ran his tongue across his pointed teeth. A bird flew by causing a rush of air against his face and he picked up its scent. Something inside his body snapped. He bolted through the opening in the trees, his eyes frantically searching for any prey. Aiden's slender body navigated easily through the thick brush as if the landscape was imprinted in his every bone and muscle. The bird rose higher above the tree line as if it could sense the danger, and Aiden lost his scent. His pupils narrowed and he could think clearly for a moment as he calmed him self against a tree. If he stood perfectly still he could become nearly invisible to animal or human eyes. For nearly an hour he sat perfectly still, his thoughts rushing through his mind like a tornado, finally stopping on her face. Aiden knew her face perfectly, never letting it leave his mind for more than a few minutes. The perfect contours of her cheeks, the subtle roundness of her face, and the way her golden hair framed her silvery blue eyes. Suddenly his eyes snapped to attention, the image of her face fading away instantly. Snapping twigs under unknown feet a mile away caught his ear. He waited, intently listening for them to get near. Finally the scent reached him, the sweet metallic smell of her blood flowing through the air toward him. He could hardly contain himself, but he kept still so she wouldn't see him hiding in the brush. As she moved closer he could hear her blood pumping through her veins and the rhythmic beating of her heart. She was humming softly as she picked wild flowers off the forest floor, and Aiden waited patiently for her to move closer to his hiding spot. The girl stopped in front of him, unable to see him. He stood perfectly still as he stalked his prey. The girl leaned forward to grab another flower and he grabbed her before she knew what was coming and calmed her effortlessly with a glance of his perfect honey colored eyes. She fell limp in his arms. "What a stupid girl you are to walk alone in the woods." He whispered into her ear. His lips fell to rest against the delicate skin beneath her ear. Her heart beat raced and he could feel the blood rushing through her veins in his lips. Aiden's whole body tingled with hunger as his lips parted and exposed his teeth. The girl let out a soft whimper as his teeth sank into her skin. Her breathing slowed as Aiden drained her body. Its really hard to choose only 5... But I think I narrowed it down. (No particular order) 1. 10 Things I Hate About You: In the words of Kat Stratford "Angry girl music of the Indie Rock persuasion..." I love every song on there. 2. Dirty Dancing Havana Nights: Ugh I just want to lick Diego Luna's skin off! 3. Hairspray (New one): Something about it, just makes me smile... 4. Coyote Ugly: Like this one needs an explaination... 5. Wicked: Everytime I hear it I think of my trip to New York and get goosebumps! I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too! Its amazing how little your life changes from day to day and then BAM! Everything is different all at once. Or so it seems... Then you realize it was really changing all along and you were just too blind to notice it. Everyone around you is different and you don't seem to like that. Or is it that you are different and everyone else is the same? Someone please just shoot me in the face please...BabyyBlue89: weblog - photos - videos - audio - pulse - profile - subscribe!
